⚠️

For individual uses or assemblies of multiple cells, we recommend using a Battery Management System (BMS) to protect against over-discharge and overcharging. Do not throw the batteryinto a fire, short circuit it, or insert it backwards into a charger that lacksreverse-polarity detection. Only use chargers supporting lithium-ion (Li-Ion) rechargeable batteries.

These cells can be used to build many different devices. Someexamples include:

  • Electronic cigarettes
  • Flashlights
  • Power banks
  • Electronic toys
  • Solar-powered devices
  • DIY Arduino projects
  • Battery packs for electric bicycles and scooters

Remember to include BMS protection.

Why is a BMS important?
A BMS (Battery Management System) is a small but vital component that helps rechargeable batteries – for example, lithium-ion or LiFePO4 – operate safely and last longer.

In simple terms, a BMS acts as a battery guardian:
✅ It prevents the battery from being overcharged or excessively discharged, which could damage the cells.
✅ It keeps all cells in the battery pack at a similar charge level, extending service life.
✅ It protects against short circuits and overloads, helping prevent damage.
✅ It improves overall safety, for example by reducing the risk of overheating or fire.

If you use LiFePO4 batteries, a BMS is even more important because these cells have specific charging and discharging requirements.

Simply put, with a BMS your batteries can operate more reliably, last longer and be safer. 😊
